An active attack on a distributed Group Key Exchange system

چکیده
In this work, we introduce an active attack on a Group Key Exchange protocol by Burmester and Desmedt. The attacker obtains a copy of the shared key, which is created in a collaborative manner with the legal users in a communication group.

Attack on An ID-based Authenticated Group Key Exchange Protocol with Identifying Malicious Participants
An authenticated group key exchange (AGKE) protocol allows a group of participants to establish a common session key and then provides secure group communications in collaborative and distributed applications. Recently, Wu et al. proposed an ID-based authenticated group key exchange protocol based on bilinear pairings. They claimed that their protocol can detect and identify the malicious parti...
متن کاملReconfiguration and optimal placement of distributed generations in distribution networks in the presence of remote voltage controlled bus using exchange market algorithm
Abstract: Since distribution networks have a large share of the losses in power systems, reducing losses in these networks is one of the key issues in reducing the costs of global networks, including issues Which has always been considered. In this thesis, the reconfiguration of the distribution network in the presence of distributed generation sources (DGs) with respect to two types of bus, P ...
متن کاملA block-free TGDH key agreement protocol for secure group communications
Secure group communication (SGC) has been an active research area because several applications require it. In this paper, we propose a Block-Free Group Tree-based Diffie-Hellman (BF-TGDH) key agreement protocol, based on a recently proposed Group Treebased Diffie-Hellman (TGDH) key agreement protocol, for secure group communication. The new protocol has the following specific properties: (1) no...
متن کاملAn Advanced Hysteresis Controller to Improve Voltage Profile of Power System with PV Units: A Smart Grid Power Exchange Framework
Unlike traditional power grids, smart grids have the advantage of bidirectional power flow and having distributed generations. Distributed generation systems are usually supplied by renewable sources which can cause unpredicted voltage fluctuations as a result of being intermittent. While traditional compensating devices deal with the problem of voltage fluctuation and reduced power quality wit...
متن کاملModel Predictive Control of Distributed Energy Resources with Predictive Set-Points for Grid-Connected Operation
This paper proposes an MPC - based (model predictive control) scheme to control active and reactive powers of DERs (distributed energy resources) in a grid - connected mode (either through a bus with its associated loads as a PCC (point of common coupling) or an MG (micro - grid)). DER may be a DG (distributed generation) or an ESS (energy storage system). In the proposed scheme, the set - poin...
